Despite their past Ankita Lokhande doesn’t mind working with Sushant Singh Rajput
Ankita Lokhande is less than a week away from making her Bollywood debut with Kangana Ranaut starrer Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. Ankita started out as a TV actress with a show called Pavitra Rishta opposite Sushant Sing Rajput.
The duo was highly appreciated by the audience for their chemistry and they were also beaus for several years. One thing led to another and their relationship came to an end.
When asked about working with her ex flame, Ankita says it’s not up to her. She elaborated by saying that if the script is good, she would definitely work with SSR. The actress went on further about her career and said that it’s just a change of camera for her. Also, that the TV industry required more time than films. She states that she has shot for 128 hours a week while for Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi, it was just 12 hours of shoot a day giving her more time to prepare for the role.

Is the Manikarnika producer really hospitalized?
Perhaps it is the stress of being seen as the face and creative helmer of one of the most expensive films every produced in India. But Kangana Ranaut is in denial. Apparently she doesn’t believe that her Manikarnika producer Kamal Jain is hospitalized. At a special screening of the film on Sunday when an actor from the film asked about his health, she testily replied he was doing ok and that an unnecessary hullabaloo is being created about the producer’s health when it is only a “lung infection”
Kangana’s dismissive attitude to Kamal Jain’s supposedly “critical condition” is shared by another actor from the film who wonders, “Why were Kamal Jain’s wife and daughter at the special screening if he was really in the hospital? Could this be publicity for the film? Just as a few days ago, the Manikarnika team tried to drag the Karni Sena into the picture. The Karni chief had to stoutly deny any interest in Manikarnika.”
In fact an opinion going around in the film industry is that Kamal Jain is not even partially as ill as it’s being made out to be. “He has certainly not suffered a paralytic stroke. This false news was spread so Jain could escape from being part of the film’s final promotion before release. Jain knows the fate that lies in store for Manikarnika,” says an informed source.
Varun Dhawan takes to Twitter to announce the beginning of #3 (watch video)
With the ABCD franchise being the talk-of-the-town for a plot that’s one of a kind, the hype for the next dance film is pretty high. Director Remo D’Souza took to his dance reality show, Dance+ 4 to announce the film with Varun Dhawan and Shraddha Kapoor along with the well-known dancers.
Today, Varun shared a video while flying to Punjab for the first Schedule of #3. In the video, he is accompanied by director Remo, producer Bhushan Kumar and actress Sonam Bajwa. Sonam is a Punjabi actress who will be playing a pivotal role in the film.

Manju Warrier to make her Tamil debut with Dhanush starrer Asuran
While she has given some biggest blockbusters in Malayalam, she also made a powerful comeback with How Old Are You? in 2014 after a sabbatical of almost 15 years. And now, after her release Odiyan with Mohanlal, Manju Warrier is all set to explore a new language with Asuran. The actress will be making her Tamil debut this year with Dhanush starrer Asuran.
In fact, Dhanush, who is quite ambitious about this film, took to social media to announce the casting of the actress as his leading lady. Asuran, directed by Vetri Maaran, is expected to be the first film of Manju Warrier in Tamil. Announcing the same on Twitter, Dhanush posted, “#asuran - update .. the evergreen Manju Warrier will be playing the female lead. Excited to share screen space and learn from this amazing talent.”

On the other hand, Manju Warrier too responded to his tweet on her official Facebook page where she thanked the team for approaching her as a part of this project. “And that is going to be my first Tamil film! Furthermore, Dhanush also revealed a day ago that Asuran will go on floor on January 26 on the same platform. He said, “We will start filming #asuran from January 26th !! A Vetrimaaran film. Looking forward to yet another adventure. @VetriMaaran @gvprakash @theVcreations.” As mentioned in the tweet, the film will see a reunion of the trio, Dhanush, Vetri Maaran and music composer GV Prakash after working in films like Aadukulam and Polladhavan.
Considering that GV Prakash is collaborating with the actor-director duo after a hiatus, he too took to Twitter to express his happiness of joining hands with them. He tweeted, “#GV71 After the classic #aadukalam , #mayakkamenna , #polladhavan , #visaaranai and #theri joining hands for #Asuran with @dhanushkraja (4th time ) @VetriMaaran (4th time ) @theVcreations ( second time ) #asuran this will be #GV71.” GV 71 indicates that this will be the 71st film of G.V. Prakash Kumar as a music composer.
Is Shah Rukh Khan really doing DON 3?
So okay. We all know Shah Rukh Khan has opted out of the astronaut Rakesh Sharma’s biopic Saare Jahan SeAccha produced by Siddharth Roy Kapur because he didn’t want to do another space film after Zero.
So far so convincing. But, it was the second part of that announcement, stating that instead of the Rakesh Sharma bio-pic, SRK would be doing the third part of the Don franchise, that turns out to be an intriguing bit of fabrication.
Sources close to the Don series say this is just not true. “There is no Don 3. Not yet. Director Farhan Akhtar has no script for a third installment. Shah Rukh and Farhan have been struggling for three years to come up with a tenable idea of Don 3. They’re yet to crack the plot,” says the source who wonders where these bogus reports on Don 3 came from.
“It made sense for SRK ’s team to announce his exit from the Rakesh Sharma biopic. But what was the point of mentioning a substitute project that doesn’t exist? Farhan has no plans of starting Don 3 in the near future. Right now, he only wants to concentrate on his acting career. He is starting his new sports film Toofan directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra which will keep him busy for the next one year. Directing Don 3 or any other film is not on his mind at all," says the source.
If you are wondering why Farhan Akhtar is silent over this misinformation, the answer is very simple. The guy just doesn’t want to contradict any positive media report on Shah Rukh Khan.

Hrithik Roshan RESUMES SHOOTING for the YRF film with Tiger Shroff (details inside)
Hrithik Roshan has two major movies coming up. While one is a biopic on the mathematician Anand Kumar called Super 30, the other one is yet untitled film helmed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films starring Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor in the lead roles. Hrithik had taken a short break as he was busy with his dad Rakesh Roshan’s surgery and cancer therapy. Hrithik had prioritised his dad’s treatment over everything else and therefore was unable to shoot the movie with Tiger Shroff but now, since Rakesh Roshan has completed his treatment, he is back on the film. He even took to Twitter to thank everyone who prayed for his filmmaker father. He wrote, “And he’s up and about. Power of love! Thank you all for being with him and helping him power through. Today was a great day.” Now that Papa Roshan is alright, Hrithik can concentrate on his film.
It has been a while since we saw Hrithik Roshan on the big screen. His last film was Kaabil which came out in 2017. It will be interesting to see him in two very different roles in near future. While in Super 30, he plays a very gritty, intense role, he would be seen as a typical commercial hero in the movie with Tiger Shroff. It will also be interesting to see the two dancing stars share screen space with each other. The film will have oodles of action and dance.
On personal front, he just celebrated his birthday a few days ago and seems to be in a very good place with his ex-wife Sussanne Khan with whom he has been going on joint vacations all through the year.

Tiger Shroff to kick-start shooting of Baaghi 3 in May
Tiger Shroff has a good slate of movies coming up in the next two years. Ever since his debut in Heropanti, the actor proved that he is a star when it comes to action films. With Baaghi franchise, he took the next step in the power-packed high octane action sequences. After the stupendous success of Baaghi and Baaghi 2, the makers Nadiadwala Grandsons announced the third installment Baaghi3 in December 2018.
Now, it has been learnt that the film will go on floor in May 2019. Ahmed Khan, who returns as the director after the success of Baaghi 2, is reportedly set to start the film by May end. As per sources, the plan is to take the third installment a notch higher than its previous films. As the film is still being scripted, one is still unaware where the journey of Tiger Shroff's character will take him.
Baaghi was scripted by Sanjeev Dutta and Baaghi 2 had Sajid Nadiadwala, Ahmed Khan, Abbas Heirapurwala and Niraj Kumar Mishra's involvement. Now, Farhad Samji, director of Housefull 3, who has written Singham, ChennaiExpress amongst others with Sajid Samji, will be penning the script for Baaghi 3. He finds the number 3 lucky with the success of Housefull 3 and Golmaal3. With Tiger coming for the third time, the writing has come with its own challenges as the actor has become an icon. But, the writer-filmmaker promises three times more the fun and action for the audience.
For the action sequences, Tiger Shroff will be bulking up keeping in mind Sylvester Stallone's Rambo look. A team of international stuntsmen will choreograph the stunts.
Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 3 will release on March 6, 2020. The casting for the leading lady is still in process.

Punjabi star Ammy Virk to play fast bowler Balwinder Singh Sandhu in Ranveer Singh - Kabir Khan's '83
Kabir Khan’s ’83, with Ranveer Singh playing Kapil Dev, inspired by Team India’s first World Cup win, has locked another cast member. The popular actor-singer from Punjab, Ammy Virk will be playing the role of fast bowler Balvinder Singh Sandhu who delivered the most memorable ball in the final match, castling West Indian Gordon Greenidge with a devastating in-swinger.
The most interesting part is the former cricketer Balvinder Singh Sandhu is also coaching Ranveer Singh. The actor recently shared a picture with his coach from a practice session. The film will be shot in four months, from May to August.
One of the producers of the film '83, Madhu Mantena, is delighted to have the Punjabi star Ammy Virk on board. Talking about the film, Mantena said, “We are in the process of casting and will rope in actors from film industries across India in the true spirit of the film.”
Tracing the historic victory of 1983 world cup, Kabir Khan's upcoming directorial will star Ranveer Singh as the former captain of the Indian Cricket Team, Kapil Dev. There has been immense excitement amongst the audience to witness the magnificent event to be recreated on the silver screen.
Directed by Kabir Khan, the sports film will bring to light one of the most important events in the Indian cricket history. Shouldered by the then captain Kapil Dev, who led the Indian cricket team to its maiden World Cup win, 1983's World Cup stays to be one of the most etched events in the minds of the cricket fans.

Aayush Sharma to star in Rajkumar Santoshi's next
Aayush Sharma, Salman Khan’s brother-in-law, made his debut this year with Love Yatri opposite Warina Hussain. His role was that of a romantic hero and it did create a decent buzz at the box office. While he has already signed his next alongside Sanjay Dutt in a gangster drama, he has also given a nod to yet another film with Rajkumar Santoshi.
Aayush Sharma will be starring in a romantic drama which will be produced by Rajkumar Santoshi. The filmmaker had approached the actor for the film. After the final script was locked in, Aayush was given the narration after which he gave a nod to it. As per sources, the film will be a blend of romance and comedy. He will soon begin work on the film after wrapping up Hindi remake of 2018 Marathi movie Mulshi Pattern in April 2019.
Reportedly, Aayush Sharma is beefing up for his role in Mulshi Pattern as he has to gain around 16 kilos. He has already gained 10 kilos and is working hard. He is also learning Marathi to get the authenticity as the film is set in rural Maharashtra.

Padmini Kolhapure's son Priyaank Sharma to debut alongside Akshaye Khanna in a comedy film Sab Kushal Mangal
It is the year of many star kids making their Bollywood debuts. Veteran actress Padmini Kolhapure and her filmmaker husband Pradeep Sharma's son Priyaank Sharma is all set for his Bollywood debut in an upcoming comedy, Sab Kushal Mangal. The film will star Akshaye Khanna in a pivotal role. The comedy, produced by Nitin Manmohan’s daughter Prachi Manmohan, will be directed by debutante Karan Kashyap.
An excited Padmini Kolhapure said to a daily that there was no pressure on her son Priyaank Sharma to take up acting or filmmaking as the atmosphere at home was non-filmy. It was a choice made by him. She said that he is a movie buff and has completed his one-year acting course from The Lee Strasberg Institute in New York. The producer Prachi said that she had studied with the newbie actor and knew him. She professionally approached him for the film and narrated the script to not just him but his parents too. They all loved and laughed throughout. Priyaank began workshops two months ago and is very hardworking, according to Prachi.
Sab Kushal Mangal has been written by Karan Kashyap himself. The director has earlier assisted Mani Ratnam in Raavan, Shimit Amin in Chak De! India. The film will be set in Jharkhand and will go on floor in February end.
Me Too: Ajay Devgn SUPPORTS the movement but warns about the people taking undue ADVANTAGE
Ajay Devgn who has been in the news lately for the movie Total Dhamaal spoke about the ongoing Me Too movement recently. He honestly spoke about what he felt about this revolution which started after Tanushree Dutta brought to light the prevalent sexism and harassment that takes place in the industry. She named names and the hell broke loose. She was not the only one as a lot of others then came forward with their stories about powerful men in Bollywood exploiting their position. The latest name to come up was that of director Rajkumar Hirani after his assistant from the movie Sanju alleged that he harassed her. Ajay Devgn reacted to this and told media that he supported the movement but one should be wary of the fake allegations made against people to take advantage of ongoing movement. He said that though most of the stories coming out are true, a thorough investigation is necessary to avoid someone getting framed despite being innocent.
Ajay said there are good and bad people in every industry. People should not stop working here just because of a few bad apples. Kajol said that it is the responsibility of the media to showcase what has happened accurately. She said it is important not to get dwarfed because a powerful man is involved. She said that everyone has a power to say their bit, highlight their story to the media and people will listen.
On the personal front, Ajay was asked if his daughter Nysa will be seen making a Bollywood debut to which he said that currently she has no plans as she is studying abroad but she can change her mind.

Koffee With Karan 6: Karan Johar APOLOGISES, regrets harming Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul’s careers
Karan Johar has finally broken his silence over the controversial Hardik Pandya and KL Rahul’s episode in an interview with ET NOW channel. He has come out and sincerely APOLOGISED to the players because indirectly, he felt responsible in harming their careers. He even admitted that his show is utterly ‘frivolous, borderline ridiculous and irrelevant’. Having said that he claimed that he is NOT justifying for the offensive statements made during the course of that particular episode.
Karan spoke to ET NOW and said, “I feel very responsible because this was my show, my platform. I invited them as guests on the show so the ramifications and the repercussions of what happened on the show is my responsibility. I have had so many sleepless nights wondering about how I can undo the damage. Who’s going to listen to me if I even go…it has now gone into a zone that is beyond the control. When I say this I don’t defend myself. The questions that I asked the two boys are the questions I ask everyone who come on the show, including the women. Deepika and Alia who came on the show... I have asked them those questions. I have no control over the answers that come my way.”
He clearly owned up to what he considered his responsibility but also equally put Hardik and Rahul in a spot with this statement. Karan went on to tell the television channel that he has a team of women who did not find the bits offensive and therefore he carried on with the episode, the way they had shot. He said, “Post the show, I have a control room of 16 to 17 girls. KWK is run entirely by women; I am the only man there. None of them came up…some said he was wild, crazy, mad, cracked. They said he was funny. None of them came and told me that Karan this is inappropriate. Maybe we should reflect on them and as I result, I did not think…”
Karan kept on reiterating that he never intended to offend girls and said, “I regret what has happened to them. Then there was a talk about me actually enjoying the TRP...I don’t care about the TRP. This is a spin off on my career, it’s not my career but it is their's.” The Dharma head honcho said, “I think perhaps things were said which crossed boundaries but I apologise because it was my platform where it all happened. I feel the boys have faced prize for it already.”
Karan Johar signed off by saying that this episode has ruffled him and he has become very conscious. He added, “I would be so conscious of doing any episode from now on. I was just being edgy and that is the vibe of the show…”

Rajinikanth’s daughter Soundarya is all set to tie the knot with Vishagan Vanangamudi
Rajinikanth’s youngest daughter, Soundarya is getting married to actor/entrepreneur Vishagan Vanangamudi on 11th February. She parted ways with her first husband Ashwin a few years ago. Recently, she took to Twitter to announce her divorce and asked her fans to request their family’s privacy.
Vishagan owns a pharmaceutical company and had debuted with Manoj Beedha’s Vanjagar Ulagam. As per reports, the festivities will commence on 9th February and Soundarya is working on her ensembles for the ceremony.
Vishagan is also getting married for the second time and might also be finalised as the lead of Siggapu Rojakkal 2.
Kangana Ranaut steals ‘friend’ Ankita Lokhande’s moment of glory
Television actress Ankita Lokhande was looking forward to her big dance item in the Star Plus show Dance Plus as part of the promotion for the big-screen film Manikarnika in which Ankita has a supporting role with Kangana Ranaut.
To Ankita’s dismay and shock, Kangana called off their joint appearance on Dance Plus at the last minute. “It was a really big blow for Ankita who has been struggling for some time to get a foot into Bollywood. Manikarnika has been godsend for Anikta in spite of it being a supporting role. She has been doing her best to get along with Kangana. In fact Ankita is perhaps the only co-star whom Kangana has not fallen out with during Manikarnika,” says a source.
Little did Ankita expect that Kangana Ranaut would brush aside their collaborative spirit at the time when the film is being marketed. That’s exactly what happened.
Says the source, “Ankita had prepared for two weeks. She had rehearsed her dance steps for Dance Steps and was looking forward to being seen on the show. Kangana was supposed to join Ankita. When Kangana opted out suddenly Ankita’s appearance on Dance Plus was cancelled.”
One hopes the debutante’s role in Manikarnika has survived to the extent that she would be noticed. Other actors from the film claim their roles have been reduced to zilch.

Saif Ali Khan asks Sara Ali Khan to slow down her media coverage
She is literally all over the place. The most written-about and “covered” newcomer in Tinsel Town may soon find herself barred from excessive media interaction by none other than her father Saif Ali Khan.
A family friend says Saif is concerned about the amount Sara is being written about. “She is just two films old and already being written about extensively. Every move of hers is being covered by the paparazzi. Sara is already over-exposed in the media. Saif has expressed his concern to her. The rest is up to her. He isn’t the kind to put any pressure on his children,” says the friend.
Apparently, Sara loves every bit of the attention. Interestingly Saif’s youngest born Taimur was so far the most written-about member of that family. These days it’s neck-to-neck between Taimur and Sara as far as media coverage is concerned.

A source informs, “Vidya will be hosting a chat show for Big FM 92.7 Radio. It will come on air every day in the evenings and will be launched from March this year. She will also share her some of her experiences along with the guest celebs invited on her show. Apart from being a fabulous actress, Vidya is well-read, intelligent, endearing, vibrant, empathetic and warm. She has a way of connecting with people, is well-versed with social issues and has a mind of her own, so she was the perfect choice to host this show. The show is called With Vidya Balan Dhun Badal Ke Toh Dekho (change the tune with Vidya Balan and see what happens). Everything is almost finalised and the actress has even given the radio channel dates for recording on February 18, 19 and 20. She wants to give it a go for three months and if Vidya feels the show is warming up, she may extend it to more episodes.”
Tumhari Sulu was a comedy-drama directed by Suresh Triveni. Vidya played Sulu or Sulochana Dubey, a middle-class housewife who becomes a successful radio jockey, while Manav Kaul and Neha Dhupia, played Sulu's husband and boss, respectively. The movie was a box-office success and Vidya won a Best Actress award for it.

Kareena Kapoor Khan and Saif Ali Khan are megastars but the real superstar in the family in Taimur Ali Khan! While it is now established that the paparazzi will follow him everywhere he goes, it is interesting that even the family thinks that he is the REAL star amongst the Pataudis. Taimur’s elder sibling Sara Ali Khan made her debut in 2018 with Simmba and Kedarnath, and has already become the media’s darling! She gave a couple of interviews recently and revealed lots of interesting details about her family, including her little brother Taimur. While talking to Filmfare, she was asked to comment on Taimur being the cynosure of the paps to which he said, “Yes, hands down. He walks out of the house and it makes the news. While we have to work hard for it."
She even commented on how both her brothers Ibrahim and Taimur amaze her with their naughtiness in another interview. She said that their level of naughtiness is different since they are of different ages but the mischievous streak is there and it is pretty endearing. She also can’t wait for Little Tim to grow up and bond with her. That would be fun to watch, the terrific trio of Pataudis!
On work front, Sara has not signed (officially) any new film after her two debuts but there is a chance that she will do an Imtiaz Ali film with her real life crush Kartik Aaryan. After watching her magic on the big screen, we sure wish she signs another film pretty soon!

Today, Varun shared a video while flying to Punjab for the first Schedule of #3. In the video, he is accompanied by director Remo, producer Bhushan Kumar and actress Sonam Bajwa. Sonam is a Punjabi actress who will be playing a pivotal role in the film.

In fact, Dhanush, who is quite ambitious about this film, took to social media to announce the casting of the actress as his leading lady. Asuran, directed by Vetri Maaran, is expected to be the first film of Manju Warrier in Tamil. Announcing the same on Twitter, Dhanush posted, “#asuran - update .. the evergreen Manju Warrier will be playing the female lead. Excited to share screen space and learn from this amazing talent.”
So far so convincing. But, it was the second part of that announcement, stating that instead of the Rakesh Sharma bio-pic, SRK would be doing the third part of the Don franchise, that turns out to be an intriguing bit of fabrication.
Sources close to the Don series say this is just not true. “There is no Don 3. Not yet. Director Farhan Akhtar has no script for a third installment. Shah Rukh and Farhan have been struggling for three years to come up with a tenable idea of Don 3. They’re yet to crack the plot,” says the source who wonders where these bogus reports on Don 3 came from.
“It made sense for SRK ’s team to announce his exit from the Rakesh Sharma biopic. But what was the point of mentioning a substitute project that doesn’t exist? Farhan has no plans of starting Don 3 in the near future. Right now, he only wants to concentrate on his acting career. He is starting his new sports film Toofan directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra which will keep him busy for the next one year. Directing Don 3 or any other film is not on his mind at all," says the source.
If you are wondering why Farhan Akhtar is silent over this misinformation, the answer is very simple. The guy just doesn’t want to contradict any positive media report on Shah Rukh Khan.

But, the writer-filmmaker promises three times more the fun and action for the audience.
For the action sequences, Tiger Shroff will be bulking up keeping in mind Sylvester Stallone's Rambo look. A team of international stuntsmen will choreograph the stunts.
Tiger Shroff starrer Baaghi 3 will release on March 6, 2020. The casting for the leading lady is still in process.

Aayush Sharma will be starring in a romantic drama which will be produced by Rajkumar Santoshi. The filmmaker had approached the actor for the film. After the final script was locked in, Aayush was given the narration after which he gave a nod to it. As per sources, the film will be a blend of romance and comedy. He will soon begin work on the film after wrapping up Hindi remake of 2018 Marathi movie Mulshi Pattern in April 2019.
Reportedly, Aayush Sharma is beefing up for his role in Mulshi Pattern as he has to gain around 16 kilos. He has already gained 10 kilos and is working hard. He is also learning Marathi to get the authenticity as the film is set in rural Maharashtra.

An excited Padmini Kolhapure said to a daily that there was no pressure on her son Priyaank Sharma to take up acting or filmmaking as the atmosphere at home was non-filmy. They said he was funny. None of them came and told me that Karan this is inappropriate. Maybe we should reflect on them and as I result, I did not think…”
Karan kept on reiterating that he never intended to offend girls and said, “I regret what has happened to them. Then there was a talk about me actually enjoying the TRP...I don’t care about the TRP. This is a spin off on my career, it’s not my career but it is their's.” The Dharma head honcho said, “I think perhaps things were said which crossed boundaries but I apologise because it was my platform where it all happened. I feel the boys have faced prize for it already.”
Karan Johar signed off by saying that this episode has ruffled him and he has become very conscious. He added, “I would be so conscious of doing any episode from now on. I was just being edgy and that is the vibe of the show…”

Says the source, “Ankita had prepared for two weeks. She had rehearsed her dance steps for Dance Steps and was looking forward to being seen on the show. Kangana was supposed to join Ankita. When Kangana opted out suddenly Ankita’s appearance on Dance Plus was cancelled.”
One hopes the debutante’s role in Manikarnika has survived to the extent that she would be noticed. Other actors from the film claim their roles have been reduced to zilch.
