Marjaavaan – Sidharth Malhotra refuses a body double for a scene where his back and shoulder is set on fire
Not too long ago, we had announced that Sidharth Malhotra, who was last seen in Aiyaary, has been brought on board for a romantic action drama Marjaavaan. The film will see him reunite with his former co-star Rakul Preet Singh and also his Ek Villain co-actor Riteish Deshmukh. The film is expected to feature plenty of action sequences and despite the hard work and action, Sidharth, we hear has refused a body double.
It was recently revealed that Sidharth Malhotra shoots for Marjaavaan in a late night setup with fire and rain and it also included tackling goons. Confirming the same, a source revealed, ‘’The stunt team wanted to shoot with a body double because Sid’s back and shoulder would be on fire but he was adamant on doing the scene himself to make it look authentic and stay true to his character. There is a lot maar-dhaad in the film and he has pulled it all off himself’’
Speaking about the film, the source added, “The multiple confrontation sequences between good and evil is where the entire fun unwinds.”
Sidharth Malhotra has turned his attention to the action drama Marjaavaan after he wrapped up the last schedule of Jabariya Jodi with Parineeti Chopra. Produced by Nikhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar, the film also features Tara Sutaria in a pivotal role. On the other hand, Riteish Deshmukh, whose character is vertically challenged in the film, will be joining the team for the shoot next week. The lengthy schedule of the film will continue till March-end.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film is expected to release on October 2, 2019 on the day of Gandhi Jayanti.

Esha Deol and husband Bharat Takhtani, who welcomed their daughter Radhya a year ago, are all set to become parents for the second time. The actress made the happy announcement in the most adorable way.
Esha Deol took to her Instagram and shared the cutest picture of her daughter Radhya with a signboard that read, “I’m being promoted to BIG SISTER.” On Sunday, netizens began to speculate about her pregnancy when she shared a photo of herself with her husband Bharat. The baby bump was visible in the photo.
Esha’s No Entry co-star Celina Jaitley congratulated her and wrote, “No words. So happy for you, Bharat and Radhya. Hugs." Abhishek Bachchan, who is close to their family, also commented on her post and said, "Congratulations."

Aanand L Rai NOT upset over Shah Rukh Khan’s Zero failure, claims he would experiment more
Aanand L Rai and Shah Rukh Khan collaborated to create an extremely ambitious film, Zero. It was supposed to have resurrected Shah Rukh Khan’s career after the debacle of his past film but unfortunately that did NOT happen as the movie flopped miserably that the box office. Post this, Rai who has given us blockbusters like Tanu Weds Manu, Tanu Weds Manu Returns and Ranjhaana spoke to media and claimed that he is NOT upset over this and he would experiment more with treatment and subjects of his films. Aanand said that it was flight which he was supposed to take but it is rather unfortunate that it did not land the way it should have. But this does not deter him from making more experimental movies. Aanand L Rai also said that he needs to understand what went wrong and he would work on it.
Post, the failure of Zero, Shah Rukh Khan has been very very choosy about his roles and has pulled himself out of Saare Jahan Se Accha as he is not convinced with the experimental roles anymore. Now, that is quite sad especially for the fans of the stars who want him to take up challenging roles. Our inside source exclusively told us, “Shah Rukh recently met with the makers of the film and they have decided to amicably part ways. After Zero’s performance, Shah Rukh seems to be reconsidering his projects and way forward.”
While it is not clear what project SRK will take up next, Aanand L Rai is already gearing up for Tanu Weds Manu’s third sequel.
Sanjay Dutt’s pal, Mahesh Manjrekar, says he would have used a different approach for the actor’s biopic
With a worldwide collection of a whopping Rs. 550 crores, Sanju clearly became one of the biggest hits of 2018. This Ranbir Kapoor starrer was a biopic based on Sanjay Dutt with Raju Hirani as the director. The movie was appreciated by most of the audiences but was still labelled as a commercial one. Some of them even went to the extent of calling it a propaganda film that was made solely to improve Dutt’s image.
When asked about his views, Sanjay’s close friend, Mahesh Manjrekar pointed out a few valid points. The actor/director mentioned that Hirani had been quite successful in making the film a commercial one by looking at the numbers. He states that he was a little disappointed as a lot of aspects were left unexplored and that his approach to direct the film would have been completely different.
Sanjay and Mahesh have done a lot of movies in the past, Vaastav, Hathyar, and Kaante, to name a few. Manjrekar also had a cameo in the RK starrer where his short role was appreciated a lot. Vicky Kaushal, Dia Mirza, Anushka Sharma, and Paresh Rawal played pivotal roles in the biopic too.

SS Rajamouli's RRR starring Ram Charan and Junior NTR begins its second schedule
After giving the much successful Baahubali, SS Rajamouli was keen on taking the multi starrer genre to another film with the film RRR. The film will be starring superstars Ram Charan and Junior NTR. After completing the first schedule of the same, the team is all set to kick off the next schedule.
The second schedule of RRR, which is one of the most talked about films down South, has reportedly began today. The film went on floors in November last year in the presence of the most prominent names in the South Indian Film Industry like Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Kalyan Ram, Koratala Siva, Boyapati Srinu, Vamshi Paidipally, Venky Atluri, Suresh Babu, Allu Aravind, Shobu Yarlagadda, KL Narayana and Shyam Prasad Reddy amongst others.
A source close to the film said, “After the massive success of the Baahubali franchise, SS Rajamouli is helming yet another multi-lingual film which is being touted as National Cinemas most ambitious project. With the film, the makers are leaving no stone unturned to present a cinematic experience surpassing the grandeur of S.S Rajamouli’s last outing Baahubali: The Conclusion. Announcing the second schedule, the makers took to social media to share, "Back on the sets! The second schedule starts, today. #RRR @tarak9999 #RamCharan @ssrajamouli @dvvmovies @rrrmovie".
The dialogues of the film are written by Sai Madhav Burra and Madan Karky and editing will be done by National Award winning film editor Sreekar Prasad. S.S Rajamouli’s next will also reunite the dream team that worked on Baahubali series with celebrated names like Vijayendra Prasad who has penned the story, Costume designer Rama Rajamouli, VFX Supervisor V Srinivasa Mohan. The music is given by MM Keeravani and Production design is done by Sabu Cyril KK Senthil Kumar is the cinematographer. Presented by D. Parvathy, the film will be made under DVV Entertainment banner – DVV Danayya with screenplay and direction by S.S Rajamouli.

Kangana Ranaut to team up with Aanand L. Rai for Tanu Weds Manu 3
Kangana Ranaut and R. Madhavan starrer Tanu Weds Manu still has its charm over the audiences. The first two instalments, Tanu Weds Manu (2011) and Tanu Weds Manu Returns (2015), are still considered among the most unusual romantic comedies in recent times. Kangana and Maddy’s chemistry in both the movies had sparked a lot of interest. Even though sceptical about the second film, Kangana agreed and her role was loved by all.
When asked about her views on Aanand L Rai’s SRK starrer Zero, she clearly stated she did not have the time to watch the film. But as per Kangana, the director will soon be announcing the third film in the Tanu Weds Manu series. However, there aren’t any specific details that have been revealed about the movie going on floors.
On the work front, Kangana Ranaut is currently busy promoting her upcoming film, Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi. The movie is slated to release on 25th January and also marks the directorial debut of the Queen actress.
Vikram Bhatt comes out in support of Rajkumar Hirani, says we should wait for justice to prevail on the #MeToo situation
Vikram Bhatt recently released his latest column regarding one of the most talked about trends, #MeToo. The director came out in support of Rajkumar Hirani who was accused of sexual harassment by one of the crew members of Sanju.
The female crew member claimed that the director had molested her for over a period of 6 months. Although Hirani has not been proven guilty yet, the social media has seemed to put him on a trail. Vikram, in his column, puts forth valid justifications regarding the allegation. Vikram writes in his Facebook post, “In a #MeToo situation you are required to fully support and under no circumstances disregard the lady in question for whatever she is saying. I agree. We must take on board what she is saying and make sure that justice prevails. And yet, let us not forget that everyone is innocent until he or she is proven guilty. I cannot understand what is the hurry to put Mr. Hirani in the Shame Slammer? Can we not wait for justice to prevail?”
The director further added, “...is it not possible that a lady has some score to settle with a man? Is it not possible that the lady is under the influence of some other? Is it not possible that it could be a relationship that went south?” So as to not come out as insensitive, Bhatt also pointed out the trauma a woman goes through and the effect sexual harassment has on a victim. He clearly mentioned that Hirani has not had a single accusation against him in his extensive career.
Vikram Bhatt concluded the column by saying, “I shall await the truth and till the committees in question do not tell us one way or the other, I choose to respect the lady in question but I also choose to respect Raju Hirani for the man I know he is, I choose to respect his body of work and I choose to respect him for where he has gotten in life. An accusation will not make him a molester in my eyes, the findings of the justice system might.”
Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan starrer Good News gets a release date – details inside
Earlier today, the upcoming multi-starrer film, Good News got its second shooting schedule. The movie stars Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor, Diljit Dosanjh, and Kiara Advani. With the first schedule completed, the team is all set to step in the second schedule that commences on January 27.
Karan Johar, being the producer, took to Twitter to announce the release date of the film and the excitement is already through the roof. The plot revolves around two couples, Akki-Bebo and Diljit-Kiara. As the title suggests, Akki and Kareena are trying for a baby.

Janhvi Kapoor heads to Barcelona for her first outdoor shoot
Janhvi Kapoor, who made her debut in Dhadak, will be starring as Gunjan Saxena in her next gilm. The actress has now left for Barcelona for an exciting brand shoot. Janhvi will be shooting for a fragrance brand in Barcelona and is working around quite a tight schedule.
The stunning young star has been rehearsing around the clock for the Mumbai Police Force's annual cultural festival, Umang and headed to Barcelona last night for a 3 - day shoot.
She will return to the city and immediately get into the prep of her next film. Reveals a source , "This will be Janhvi's first outdoor shoot and she is very excited about it. Barcelona is one of her favorite holiday destinations and she returns to the city for an elaborate ad campaign for a fragrance brand. She also has a great performance lined up for Umang after the encouraging response she received for her performance at the Lux Beauty Awards.”

Ashish Chowdhry regrets not being a part of Total Dhamaal
Ashish Chowdhry has been an integral part of the Dhamaal franchise. Portraying the role of Boman in the first two instalments, he sure was a treat to watch. With the trailer of the third instalment, Total Dhamaal, being released yesterday, Ashish expressed his disappointment on not being a part of the movie.
Ashish said that after watching the trailer, he got on a call with the makers and told them that it was a 200 crore plus blockbuster. Chowdhry couldn’t be a part of the movie because of his prior commitments. He stars in a daily show which relies on him, completely. With the dates clashing, Ashish had to let go of the film with a heavy heart and went on to say that he replied to the makers with crying emojis when shown an exclusive preview of the trailer.
He further talked about being aware that he was going to regret not opting for the film but says he has no reason to complain. Along with Ashish Chowdhry, Sanjay Dutt couldn’t be a part of the film either. Ajay Devgn will now be playing the character similar to Sanju’s in the previous movies. Anil Kapoor and Madhuri Dixit will also be seen in the film as a married couple. With Indra Kumar as the director, Total Dhamaal is slated to release on February 22.

Aditya Pancholi booked for non payment of dues and usage of abusive language towards a car mechanic
Aditya Pancholi is controversy's favourite child and has been in the news for wrong reasons since a while now. His name has been dragged with Kangana Ranaut after she openly accused him of assaulting her numerous times while they were in a relationship years ago. Now, a police complaint has been lodged against him by a car mechanic over non payment of dues amounting to Rs 2.8 lakhs and usage of abusive/ foul language against him. As per the complainant Moshin Kadar Rajapkar, Aditya requested for his services to repair his Land Cruiser. Because a few parts of the vehicle were unavailable in the city, the vehicle was transported to Delhi for further repair. He then delivered Land Cruiser to Pancholi after ensuring that it is serviced and repaired but never got paid for the same. He claimed that the Bollywood actor abused him over the phone after denying to pay the designated amount.
Pancholi claims that he has paid the amount to tune of Rs. 2.8 lakhs and denies the allegations made by the mechanic. Versova police station has registered a non cognisable case against the actor. Stay tuned to know further updates in this case.

Bhushan Kumar to produce Anurag Basu’s next
After working together on Anurag Basu’s previous films as a music label, Bhushan Kumar has joined hands with the director for a yet to be titled film. The multi-starrer film is an action comedy that is about unavoidable jeopardies of life! The film has four different stories set in a quintessential Indian metro. It is a slice of life film with stories intersecting with each other with drama and emotion.
The producer–director duo have already signed Abhishek Bachchan, Rajkummar Rao, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sanya Malhotra & Pankaj Tripathi. Anurag has already shot major sequences with Abhishek in Mumbai and Kolkata last year. The director was busy shooting with Rajkummar and Fatima in Bhopal recently.
The signed actors will soon start for their respective portions while Bhushan Kumar and Anurag Basu are yet to sign few more actors to join the ensemble. The character and roles of the actors are still under wraps, but what is heard of is that every actor has a chance to explore something they haven’t tried before.
Speaking on the film, director Anurag Basu says, "It’s my pleasure to be working with Mr. Bhushan Kumar for my next that is a dark comic anthology. It is our first collaboration but it doesn't seem like one. I am extremely happy to have found this talented new generation cast, though I will trust my old friend Pritam for music as always!"

Ranveer Singh starrer '83 to release in three different languages
Ranveer Singh is all set to play the role of real life Kapil Dev in the forthcoming Kabir Khan directorial ’83. Considering that it brings together Bollywood and Cricket, not surprisingly, the film is garnering enough attention. And now there is yet another intriguing update about this much talked about film. The makers of Ranveer Singh starrer '83 are all set to release the film in three different languages which are Hindi, Tamil and Telugu.
Interestingly, now '83 will mark the first ever trilingual release for both Ranveer Singh and director Kabir Khan. Ranveer Singh is said to be leaving no stone unturned as he sets out on the journey of mastering his act as he is all set to play Kapil Dev in the much-awaited sports drama. The film brings to light one of the most important events in the Indian cricket history.
A source close to the film has confirmed the developments saying, “The makers have decided to present the film in three languages - Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. It’s a first for Kabir Khan and Ranveer both. Indian cricket team’s heroic win for 1983 World Cup is a story to be presented across boundaries, hence the idea and reason to shoot for Tamil and Telugu versions simultaneously.”
For the uninitiated, 1983 marked the year of India’s first victory in World Cup and the squad behind this win included Kapil Dev, Mohinder Amarnath, Sunil Gavaskar, Kirti Azad, Yashpal Sharma, Krishnamachari Srikkanth, Roger Binny, Balwinder Singh Sandhu, Sandeep Patil, Syed Kirmani, Madan Lal, Ravi Shastri, Dilip Vengsarkar & Sunil Valson, and their manager P R Man Singh.
Based on India's spectacular win in 1983 Cricket World Cup which took place in England, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the character of Kapil Dev under whose captaincy India won its first World Cup trophy.
’83 will be released PAN India during the Good Friday weekend of 2020 on April 10.

SCOOP: RIFT between cousins Farhan Akhtar and Farah Khan?
Celebrity cousins Farhan Akhtar and Farah Khan are friends no more. Close pals since their childhood, the twosome have lately begun to could-shoulder one another over #MeToo allegations against Farah’s brother Sajid Khan. Apparently, after women called out Sajid for his alleged misconduct and Sajid was sacked from his directorial duties, his sister Farah, naturally upset over the manner in which her family affairs had panned out, expected some support from her celebrity cousins.
“Not that Farah expected Farhan to speak in Sajid’s support, but being family, the least Farhan and his sister Zoya could’ve done was to hold Farah’s hand during this hour of crisis. Or so Farah believed. Instead Farhan openly criticized Sajid’s conduct on twitter and all bit described Sajid as a family shame,” says a source in the know.
What’s worse, Farhan threw a party in the same week when these ugly allegations were levelled at Sajid. “That really hurt. As things stand now, Farhan’s family has dissociated itself completely from Farah and her brother,” says the friend.
We hope Farhan and Farah will sort out their differences and co-host their birthday together as they have been doing all these years except this year. The two celebrate their birthdays on two consecutive days in January. This year they celebrated separately.

Anurag Kashyap launches Paresh Rawal’s son Aditya and Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey in Bollywood with Bamfaad
Did you know that Paresh Rawal and his actress wife Swaroop Sampat’s son Aditya was all set to make his debut in Bollywood? Well, not many know that the budding actor was quite secretive about his upcoming project which recently came to light in media reports. It seems that Aditya is being launched by Anurag Kashyap in his forthcoming production Bamfaad, starring Arjun Reddy actress Shalini Pandey and directed by Ranjan Chandel.
If reports are to be believed, Bamfaad has already gone on floors and has been extensively shot in Kanpur, albeit in secrecy. While the reason for this secretive behavior is still unknown, Anurag Kashyap is now quite uninhibited about talking about the project. He stated that he decided to come on board because he trusts Ranjan’s work who has been a writer and assistant to him for years. He has reportedly worked with the filmmaker in films like Gulaal and Dev D and hence Kashyap decided to extend his support towards Chandel’s vision. He asserted that he is completely involved in the project.
On the other hand, Ranjan spoke about working with the newbies. While Aditya is new to films, Shalini Pandey has done work down South. Ranjan assured that he and his casting director Tarun Bajaj are glad with the decision as they believe that the two actors are perfect for the role. They also elaborated on the title Bamfaad in recent reports wherein they described as a popular slang that is used in North India and that it aptly represents the world that the two lead characters belong to.
Further details on the plot of the film are kept under wraps. Bamfaad is also expected to star actors Vijay Verma and Jatin Sarna in pivotal roles. The film is said to be a passionate love story set against the backdrop of Allahabad. As for the release date, even though the makers have confirmed that the film will release in the next few months, a date is yet to be announced.

Sanya Malhotra to feature alongside Aditya Roy Kapur in Anurag Basu’s next
There have been several speculations about this Anurag Basu film that will feature an ensemble cast. Well, the last we heard was that the film will star Abhishek Bachchan, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Rajkummar Rao and Aditya Roy Kapur. Now the latest addition is said to be the other Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra in this yet to be titled film.
Sanya Malhotra will be apparently featuring in the film opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. There were earlier rumours about the film being a sequel to Life In A Metro… One of the main reasons for the same is that this untitled Anurag Basu film too will be an anthology of sorts like the 2007 sleeper hit which featured four stories interconnected with each other. Set against an urban backdrop, the film had then explored the complex web of relationships. We wonder if this one too will show the complexities and dynamics of love!
Coming to Sanya Malhotra’s story with Aditya Roy Kapur, the said story will be a romantic tale, albeit with quirky elements. It seems that Anurag decided to rope in Sanya after he was impressed with her performance in Badhaai Ho.
Interestingly, this film will see BFFs Fatima and Sanya coming together after their last blockbuster Dangal. However, if reports are to be believed the two will feature in different stories of the anthology and hence will not be sharing screen space. Not too long ago, we had received the glimpse of Fatima shooting with Rajkummar and it seems that the said shooting will wrap up soon. On the other hand, Sanya is expected to kick off her shooting with Aditya somewhere next week.
In earlier reports it was being mentioned that while Rajkummar – Fatima and Sanya – Aditya will be seen in pairs, the story featuring Abhishek will be a solo one with no female leads.

Akshay Kumar comes on board for a horror-comedy inspired by Raghava Lawrence’s Kanchana and Muni
Post the success of Stree, it seems that horror-comedy has become the latest fascination for filmmakers. However, the genre has always been popular down South. In fact, we hear that the latest horror-comedy will be inspired by South films Muni and Muni 2 - Kanchana. Moreover, it will star superstar Akshay Kumar in the lead role.
Reports have it that Akshay Kumar is joining hands with director and actor Raghava Lawrence for a horror comedy. The film will not be a remake but rather a combination of the horror comedies Muni and Kanchana. For the uninitiated, both these films were directed by Raghava and featured him in the lead role of someone who is afraid of ghosts.
As for the story, we hear that the film will feature Akshay Kumar as someone who is so afraid of ghosts that he refuses to step out of the house post sunset. Despite his fear, he is forced to encounter a transgender ghost due to circumstances.
The makers are keen on planning a 2020 release but the date is yet to be locked. The untitled venture is expected to feature an ensemble cast and details of the same will be announced soon. The film will go on floor somewhere in April and the superstar will allot dates as per the same. The schedule is expected to end somewhere in July and will be as long as 60 to 70 days.
If reports are to be believed, sources have quoted that the makers weren’t keen on creating as a remake but wanted to blend two films. Cricketers Hardik Pandya and K L Rahul faced some major backlash for their brat-like insensitive comments on Karan Johar’s famous talk-show Koffee With Karan. The famed cricketers are currently suspended from the Australian ODI test series by the BCCI. What landed the two of them in trouble was Hardik’s boasting of how many women he has been with along with the casual objectification of women.
The Committee of Administrators (CoA) has decided to conduct behavioural counselling sessions not just for the two of them, but for the A teams and the U-19s. The sole purpose of these sessions is to set an example for the budding cricketers. There will also be gender sensitivity sessions held while the two sportsmen wait for the Supreme Court to appoint a government official that will decide their fate.
The seniors have been asked to attend a few sessions despite their busy schedule while the sessions will be majorly focused on the U-19s.

It was recently revealed that Sidharth Malhotra shoots for Marjaavaan in a late night setup with fire and rain and it also included tackling goons. Confirming the same, a source revealed, ‘’The stunt team wanted to shoot with a body double because Sid’s back and shoulder would be on fire but he was adamant on doing the scene himself to make it look authentic and stay true to his character. There is a lot maar-dhaad in the film and he has pulled it all off himself’’
Speaking about the film, the source added, “The multiple confrontation sequences between good and evil is where the entire fun unwinds.”
Sidharth Malhotra has turned his attention to the action drama Marjaavaan after he wrapped up the last schedule of Jabariya Jodi with Parineeti Chopra. Produced by Nikhil Advani and Bhushan Kumar, the film also features Tara Sutaria in a pivotal role. On the other hand, Riteish Deshmukh, whose character is vertically challenged in the film, will be joining the team for the shoot next week. The lengthy schedule of the film will continue till March-end.
Directed by Milap Zaveri, the film is expected to release on October 2, 2019 on the day of Gandhi Jayanti.

When asked about her views on Aanand L Rai’s SRK starrer Zero, she clearly stated she did not have the time to watch the film. But as per Kangana, the director will soon be announcing the third film in the Tanu Weds Manu series. He clearly mentioned that Hirani has not had a single accusation against him in his extensive career.
Vikram Bhatt concluded the column by saying, “I shall await the truth and till the committees in question do not tell us one way or the other, I choose to respect the lady in question but I also choose to respect Raju Hirani for the man I know he is, I choose to respect his body of work and I choose to respect him for where he has gotten in life. An accusation will not make him a molester in my eyes, the findings of the justice system might.”

Based on India's spectacular win in 1983 Cricket World Cup which took place in England, Ranveer Singh will be seen playing the character of Kapil Dev under whose captaincy India won its first World Cup trophy.
