Rani Mukerji’s inspiring film Hichki that was loved by critics and audiences alike is now set to release in China! It is a huge feat for this social drama that has won the hearts of many across the world with its social message of equality. The film has been titled Teacher with Hiccup for the Hong Kong release.
Rani Mukerji’s much-loved film Hichki will release in Hong Kong on November 8 ! The film has been titled 我的破嗝Miss (My Extraordinary Teacher) for its Hong Kong release. Rani’s performance as Naina Mathur, a school teacher dealing with an involuntary nervous system disorder, Tourette Syndrome, has been widely lauded by audiences and critics alike across the world. Her brilliant performance has seen her sweep awards and accolades this year.
Hichki has been receiving worldwide acclaim so far. It received a standing ovation at the Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF) and Indian Film Festival of Melbourne(IFFM).

Nivin Pauly to play lead in the most expensive film of Mollywood - Kayamkulam Kochunni
Superstar of Malayalam movies Nivin Pauly, who has created a niche of himself with some of the finest performances over the years, is going to play a pivotal role in the much awaited film Kayamkulam Kochunni. Directed by Rosshan Andrrews, the film is based on Kochunni, the real-life famed highwayman, who was active in central Travancore during the 19th century and Nivin Pauly in playing the titled role Kayamkulam Kochunni. The film also stars Priyanka Thimmesh, Priya Anand, Babu Antony and Sunny Wayne in pivotal roles.
Shot on a grandeur scale, Kayamkulam Kochunni is known to be made on the budget of Rs. 45 crore making it one of most expensive ventures in the Malayalam cinema. The film has been shot some inner parts of Southern India and Sri Lanka thereby keeping the location realistic and authentic in nature. It is also known that post production of the film has also worked upon greatly and film's color grading is done by one of the well-known studios in Bollywood. The trailer of this much highly-anticipated Malayalam venture was release a month ago and has got great response.
Talking about his role, Nivin said, "I can't reveal much about my character except that I am playing a role of a jobless person, who supposedly is the running the family business. He is a bit trouble maker and the film is proper entertainer, a rom-com. It is also one of my first ever period film I have ever been associated with. "
Nivin Pauly had a great start to the year with him winning many awards for Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela that released last year. He had not only played the leading man in the film but he was also the producer of the film. Starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ahaana Krishna, Lal, Shanthi Krishna amongst others, Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela was a family drama directed by Althaf Salim and he had written the film along with George Kora.

Tanushree Dutta accuses Vivek Agnihotri of harassment; reveals Irrfan Khan and Suniel Shetty scolded him for his behaviour
Tanushree Dutta, who made her debut with Aashiq Banaya Aapne, has once again come out with her story about being abused by veteran actor Nana Patekar. The incident was in media in 2008 when it took place on the sets of Horn Ok Pleasss. Reportedly, Nana Patekar had persuaded choreographer Ganesh Acharya to include an intimate dance step in the song which was supposed to be a solo song by Tanushree Dutta. The actress had protested against it as it wasn’t in the contract. She had even locked herself in the vanity van when no one was supporting her. Then, came some goons from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) which were reportedly called by Nana Patekar who banged the door of her vanity van and even vandalized her car. Now, the actress has accused filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri of harassment and passing lewd comments on her.
This incident happened on the sets of the 2005 film, Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets. The actress revealed to a leading daily that Vivek Agnihotri wanted her to give cues to Irrfan Khan. Reportedly, it was not even her shot and was Irrfan's up close shot. So, he just had to look at something and give expressions. She revealed that the director told her to strip and dance and give the actor (Irrfan Khan) cues.
Tanushree further revealed that Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan who were on sets were the only ones who backed her. She revealed that Irrfan told the director he doesn't need Tanushree to take off her coat and dance for him to give expressions. Suniel Shetty also reportedly scolded the director for passing lewd comments.
In press conference, Tanushree Dutta openly called out the film industry for working with people like Nana Patekar. After her interviewing with channel went viral, Tanushree Dutta held a press conference on September 27 to talk about Nana Patekar and her story. “I was harassed and attacked by the MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) party. And all this was done in tandem with Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, producer, and director Rakesh Sarang. These guys were involved in making me go through this hell. Even today, nobody has condemned their actions from the film industry. And many big stars like Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth and Shahid Kapoor, these people continue to work with Ganesh Acharya and Nana Patekar,” she addressed the media.

Kajol to launch the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Initiative
Kajol Devgn has been off late spotted across the country as she is making sure her soon to release film Helicopter Eela gets the promotion it deserves. Well, now away from her promotional activities, we hear that Kajol will be lending her name and star power to a rather noble initiative. In fact, reports say that Kajol will be launching the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Initiative this World Heart Day.
While an official announcement on the same is awaited, a source close to the developments says, “The Sudden Cardiac Arrest Awareness Initiative (SCAAI) is an initiative organized by the Cardiological Society of India in collaboration with the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai. On World Heart Day Kajol along with the Municipal Commissioner Mr. Ajoy Mehta and Police Commissioner Mr. Subodh Jaiswal not only launch the initiative but the latter two will also talk about spreading awareness on the same.”
Back on the film front, Helicopter Eela that will see Kajol playing an aspiring singer and a single mother is directed by Pradeep Sarkar. Based on the Gujarati play ‘Beta, Kaagdo’, the film is slated to release on October 12.

EXCLUSIVE: Akshay Kumar’s Hera Pheri 3 Postponed To 2020?
A few months back, Firoz Nadiadwala announced Hera Pheri 3 with Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal in lead, and confirmed that the third instalment of the franchise would be directed by Indra Kumar. Following the announcement, there was a strong buzz within the industry that the film will go on floors early next year and hit the big screen during the Christmas 2019 weekend. However, sources close to the development have confirmed that there is absolutely nothing in place for Hera Pheri 3.
“Hera Pheri 3 was announced based on a one-line idea that was narrated to the entire cast. While Akshay Kumar had given a go ahead to the film, he was very clear on the fact that he would allot his date only after a bound script is in place. He is in no hurry to start shooting for the film mainly because he knows the expectation that audience have from the film and he doesn’t want to release the film just to bank on the brand name. The idea has been developed a couple of times, but the outcome was not satisfactory which has got the film back to square one” said a source adding further that an official announcement by producer has been made to get some funds from the investors to get the film rolling.
“Firoz Nadiadwala is an independent producer who usually bank rolls a project based on crowd funding. As the shooting of Hera Pheri 3 came to halt with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in lead, the producer landed in a cash crunch. After he convinced Akshay Kumar to come on board, the investors have regained their interest on the project and have agreed to fund the same however nothing apart from star-cast has been locked as of now,” added the source
Talking about the probable shooting schedule and pre-production of the film, the source said, “Director Indra Kumar is currently busy with the post production of Total Dhamaal and he would shift his focus to Hera Pheri 3 from January 2019. He will sit with the creative team of the film and indulge in the brain storming sessions to develop the screenplay. The earliest that the film can go on floors is the last quarter of 2019 and release in the second half of 2020 provided that the team is able to lock an interesting script.”
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming projects include 2.0, Kesari, Good News and Housefull 4. The actor is reportedly also in talks with YRF; however we have not heard anything from either of the sides as of now. While a few fans might be disappointed given the fact that Hera Pheri 3 has been postponed, we believe that this is good news as Akshay Kumar and team don’t want to serve the audience with a substandard product. Shahid Kapoor’s no shirt clause for Arjun Reddy
If you’ve seen the path breaking Telugu film Arjun Reddy you would know that the film’s rudderless out-of-control drugged and zonked-out protagonist, who will no longer be called ‘Reddy’ in the Hindi version (Kapoor?), spends a lot of time in the film without his shirt. Apparently, Shahid Kapoor who is playing the titular role has now put an embargo on the number of times he would go shirtless in the film.
Says a source, “Shahid feels going bare-backed distracts from the performance. He is looking at focusing on his performance, and ensuring that the audience does the same. He has made it very clear that he wouldn’t be stripping down as often as the original Arjun.”
A bigger problem would be how to create a difference between the character he plays in Arjun Reddy and the one he played in Abhishek Choubey’s Udta Punjab. In both Shahid is drugged-out borderline psychotic likely to trip over the edge at any given moment. Shahid is now looking at playing ‘Arjun Reddy’ at a totally different pitch from Tommy Singh in Arjun Reddy. “At the moment even the two characters’ beards are similar,” says a source.

South actress Megha Akash roped in to romance Sooraj Pancholi in Satellite Shankar

The film, directed by Irfan Kamal, in which Sooraj Pancholi plays the role of a soldier, has become a point of discussion from day one for its sheer magnitude and scale. Produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Murad Khetani and Ashwin Varde, Satellite Shankar is the first Hindi film to be shot across more than 10 states in India. Everyone has been wondering who the leading lady opposite Sooraj would be – since the makers had kept it rather hush-hush. Now, the secret is finally out.
Megha Akash is the one who will be making her Hindi debut opposite Sooraj in Satellite Shankar. Megha is one of the most promising talents in both Tamil and Telugu cinema. She has already made a huge mark in both the industries. Megha had been waiting for the right break in Bollywood and when she got this opportunity, there was no looking back. The actress has a massive buzz around her in the South – as she has bagged two of the biggest films in Tamil. Tanushree Dutta calls out to Farah Khan for sharing picture with Nana Patekar from the sets of Housefull 4
Well, everyone who has been following the news would be aware of the allegations that Tanushree Dutta has made against veteran actor Nana Patekar. In brief, the actress accused the actor of sexually harassing her when she was shooting a song for the film Horn Ok Pleassss in 2008. The accusations, not surprisingly, sparked an outrage amongst the Bollywood fraternity, though most remained silent on it. This has irked Tanushree and she has called out to celebrities like Farah Khan. The latter recently posted a picture with Nana, as they were flying together to Jaisalmer for shooting Housefull 4. And this has not gone down well with the actress.
Tanushree Dutta recently spoke about the picture that was shared by Farah Khan on social media. The choreographer turned filmmaker was taking off to shoot Housefull 4 with the rest of the team. Readers may be aware that the Akshay Kumar film is being directed by Farah’s brother Sajid Khan. Details of the role that Nana Patekar is playing in the film are yet to be revealed. Slamming Farah Khan on sharing the picture whilst she accused Nana of sexual harassment, Tanushree maintained that being a woman herself, after sharing a picture with Patekar, Farah has made it clear what her stand is.
On the other hand, Farah Khan expressed surprise over being dragged into this controversy. She claimed that sharing pictures on Instagram from the sets of the film is a usual practice for her. She did the same when it came to Housefull 4 and the said picture also featured Nana Patekar. However, posting an image on social media is not the way of taking anyone’s side.
On the flip side, Farah Khan was also trolled by netizens for sharing this image since it came during the time when Tanushree Dutta had alleged about Nana Patekar’s behaviour publicly. Hence, many were upset that amidst the controversy, Farah went on to click and share picture with Nana Patekar. They thought it wasn’t the right time for the choreographer to post this image.

Bigg Boss 12 - Nehha Pendse gets chosen as captain over Karanvir Bohra
Even before the fortnight of Bigg Boss gets completed, this time around Bigg Boss 12 has kicked off many controversies hovering around. The last one where the previous episode ended was when Sreesanth had a major fight with Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh when the entire gang of contestants were discussing the Samudri Lootere Task. Followed by that, the emotional person that Sreesanth is, he constantly expressed his desire to walk out of the house. Trying to get him under control, were other celebrities which included Dipika Kakar and Karanvir Bohra. Eventually, while Dipika helped him calm down, Karanvir pacified the former cricketer after he got some time alone with Sreesanth.
With the teams choosing sides over the Samudri Lootere Task, the two teams of singles and jodis started targeting the team members of both teams accusing them of violent behaviour. Owing to the same, the teams eventually chose Romil Chaudhary and Nirmal Singh for going to jail whereas amongst the celebrities it was Dipika Kakar. This further led to the sentimental Dipika breaking down as her other teammates like Nehha Pendse and Karanvir Bohra tried to help her. Eventually, Dipika ended up in jail along with Romil and Nirmal. When Jasleen came in next morning to have a conversation with her co-jodi contestants, Romil and Nirmal, her conversation with Romil ended up in an argument leading to her walking out of the conversation.
Soon after that, the Bigg Boss house inmates were posed with the question of new captaincy. While Jasleen and her partner Anup Jalota discussed the possibilities of captaincy and whom they would like to vote, Nehha Pendse was invited by Bigg Boss in the special room to discuss about the captaincy. The instructions from Bigg Boss were given to the singles considering that they were victorious in the previous task. Bigg Boss presented them with the responsibility of nominating two names from their singles team for captaincy. While they were also presented with the option of nominating someone from the jodis, Bigg Boss left the complete choice of wanting to nominate them or no on singles! However, there were strict orders that jail inmates will not be nominated for captaincy.
This instruction eventually led to once again teams having to choose between Karanvir Bohra and Nehha Pendse. The teams were asked to choose the captaincy in the unique style of cricket with Sreesanth as the bowler. While Karanvir and Nehha tried to convince co-contestants of choosing them for captaincy, eventually emerging victorious was Nehha.
Amidst all these, another argument that kicked off was of Deepak – Urvashi with Khan sisters. Deepak Thakur who was sleeping during an untimely hour was woken up by Bigg Boss in haste and in the process he ended up pulling the scarf of Saba. This further led to an argument between Somi who clearly didn’t mince words while showcasing her dislike towards Deepak’s actions. While Deepak apologized to the Khan sisters, the arguments only boiled further. Urvashi intervened and tried to calm Deepak down but this led to another unexpected twist – a rift between her and her house inmate partner Deepak.
As we await the next episode, let us see what happens under Nehha’s captaincy and what twists will the jodis go through under the singles’ rule. Also, considering the way Deepak and Urvashi fought, let us see if their relation too sees any further changes in the upcoming episodes. In fact, in an interview to a popular channel Tanushree lashed out at Priyanka Chopra for calling her a ‘survivor’.
This comes after Priyanka Chopra quoted Farhan Akhtar’s tweet that was in support of Dutta saying, “The world needs to #BelieveSurviviors”. However, it seems like Dutta isn’t too keen on being labelled a ‘survivor’. Speaking to the channel, Tanushree stated that though it was amazing that Priyanka Chopra finally decided to join the bandwagon, Dutta wanted people to know that she was not going to be reduced to just being a survivor. Instead, Dutta wants people to acknowledge her by her name and hear her story, her truth and take action on it not just for her but for the generation to come.
But it didn’t stop just there, going further while thanking all those who have tweeted in support of her, Tanushree also thanked Twinkle Khanna but called her out at the same time. In her jaunt against Twinkle, Dutta though pleased with her support questioned the author about what she was doing given the fact that her husband, Akshay Kumar still is working with Nana Pateker in Housefull 4.

Exclusive: Sajid Nadiadwala to remake Telugu film RX 100 with Suniel Shetty’s son Ahaan Shetty as the lead
We all know that Sajid Nadiadwala has been a mentor to many including star kids like Tiger Shroff, son of Jackie Shroff. Earlier we had reported that this producer was keen on casting another star kid who is gearing up for his debut. We are talking about Ahaan Shetty, son of Suniel Shetty. And now we have received more update on that front. The debut of this star kid will be a remake of a South film, RX 100.
Earlier we had reported that Ahaan Shetty is gearing up to make his debut in Bollywood. The young star kid will be making his debut with Sajid Nadiadwala being his guide. Recent reports have it that the producer decided to buy the rights of the 2018 Telugu film RX 100 which was directed by Ajay Bhupathi. Coming to the Hindi version, we hear that Milan Luthria will be directing the same. It is yet to be seen if the title will be retained for the remake or will the Bollywood remake will have a new title.
A source close to the development confirmed this news saying, “Sajid Nadiadwala would be remaking the hit Telugu film RX 100 in Hindi, under his Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment banner. Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahaan Shetty will make his debut with the remake. Nadiadwala has roped in Milan Luthria to direct the film.”
Coming to the original, the film starred Karthikeya Gummakonda and Payal Rajput. The film is an action romantic drama with a bold storyline. As romance starts brewing between the couple, they get separated due to a twist resulting in Payal aka Indu getting married to someone else. In his wait for the return of the ladylove, Karthikeya aka Shiva continues to be a gunda leading a life in his aggressive ways. But when she returns, he is in to face a shocking truth!
The leading lady opposite Ahaan Shetty is yet to be finalized. An official announcement on these details is eagerly awaited.

Deepa Mehta roped in to direct the boldest web series for Netflix
Remember filmmaker Deepa Mehta? Yes the same director who had given us the Elements trilogy of Fire, Earth and Water. Well, though this Indo-Canadian filmmaker isn’t doing much in the Bollywood circuit, we now hear that Mehta is all set to make a directorial debut on the streaming giant Netflix. If reports are to be believed, then Deepa Mehta has been roped in to directed one the boldest ever web series for Netflix.
Commenting on the same, a source close to the developments says, “Yes, Deepa Mehta will be directing a series for Netflix, but no details of what exactly the show is based on have been revealed. However, it is suffice to say that this series will be one of the boldest shows ever to be shown on the Indian web world.” When prodded for further details about the cast of the said show, the source goes on to add, “As of now South actor Siddharth has been brought on board for the project. Apart from him no other cast details are available yet.”
With Deepa Mehta entering the world of web series, it certainly has become an interesting age of content creation with the audience being spoilt for choice. However, given the fact that the online medium is subject to less stringent censorship it will be certainly interesting to watch what Mehta has to offer.
Vishal Bhardwaj to direct a Netflix series based on the cult novel Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie
We all know the unconventional films that Vishal Bhardwaj is famous for. The recent one being Pataakha with Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan playing leading ladies! And now the filmmaker is keen on exploring a completely different space with web series. We all know that the current trend of digital platform has caught the fancy of many filmmakers and Vishal is one of them. Furthermore, he has taken keen interest in one of the most famous cults, Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie and that will reflect in his new project.
To be more specific, Vishal Bhardwaj is joining hands with the renowned streaming site Netflix for his next. The filmmaker is all set to direct a new web series based on the story of Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie. A source confirms the same adding, “Vishal Bhardwaj will be directing a web series for Netflix India. The show will continue in his tradition of adapting books for the screen. And this time, it will be based on Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children.”
While this will be Vishal’s first book adaptation for the digital world, the filmmaker has made the Shakespearean trilogy in the past by making the Hindi versions of Macbeth, Hamlet and Othello in the form of Maqbool, Haider and Omkara. The stories were then set in the heartland of India, bringing forth the rustic flavour of small towns and rural areas. On the other hand, details of his new web series are currently kept under wraps. An official announcement on these details is yet to be made.

Siddharth Roy Kapur unanimously re-elected as the President of the Producers Guild of India
Siddharth Roy Kapur has been re-elected as the President of the Producers Guild of India. He has previously served as the President since January 2017. It was a unanimous decision taken at the first meeting of newly appointed Guild Council on 28th September 2018.
In addition, Sunjoy Waddhwa the eminent television producer has also been elected as the Vice President of the Producers Guild of India. At the same time Priti Shahani and Fazila Allana have been nominated to the Guild Council of Management along with Milan Luthria and Akshaye Widhani who have been included in the Guild Council as Special Invitees.
Vijay Singh, Manish Goswami and Apoorva Mehta continue to be part of the Guild Management team as Vice Presidents in addition to Ashim Samanta who will also continue as the Treasurer.

SCOOP: Is Dharma Productions turning solo producer of Vikram Batra biopic featuring Sidharth Malhotra?
Last year, the announcement was made about a biopic being made on army officer Vikram Batra who lost his life during the Kargil War. The role of the young Captain was to be played by Sidharth Malhotra and it would be produced by Dharma Productions in association with Shabbir Boxwala. Now, we hear that Karan Johar's production house has decided to own all rights related to the Vikram Batra biopic tentatively titled Shershah.
Sources close to the film have claimed that the production house has purchased all rights related to the film from Boxwala's Friday Cine Entertaiment. The source said, “Dharma Productions Private Limited is in the process of acquiring all intellectual property rights including copyright, any and all rights, title and interest in the film Shershah.” However, there is no official announcement on the same as yet.
Written by Sandeep Shrivastava, the film is said to be directed by Vishnu Vardhan. The makers had announced about the film, few months earlier on social media. The Vikram Batra biopic is also expected to feature Kiara Advani as the martyred officer’s former girlfriend.
The story of Vikram has been an inspiring one. The soldier was been a patriot since childhood and had even left job opportunities like merchant navy before he got into the Indian army. He was the elder of the twins, Vikram and Vishal. The latter had earlier expressed his happiness over Sidharth Malhotra being roped in to play the role of Vikram.
If further reports are to be believed, this Karan Johar production is expected to feature Sidharth Malhotra in double role. The actor is expected to essay the twin brothers, Vikram and Vishal. Interestingly, if true, this will be the first time that Sidharth will be playing a double role in a film.
Besides Vikram Batra biopic, Sidharth Malhotra is busy working on films like Jabariya Jodi which stars him opposite Parineeti Chopra.

Thugs Of Hindostan actress Fatima Sana Shaikh replaces Taapsee Pannu in Anurag Basu’s next
Not too long ago, we had reported that Anurag Basu is planning to take forward the franchise of Life In A Metro. Created in the form of anthology with over four stories connected with one another, the film dealt with the complex web of relationships set against the backdrop of an urban lifestyle. The sequel to this unconventional film was supposed to feature Rajkummar Rao along with Parineeti Chopra, Taapsee Pannu amongst others. The latest update on that front is that Taapsee has been replaced by Fatima Sana Shaikh.
The reason of replacement is said to be due to date issues. Apparently, Taapsee Pannu was facing date issues with her other work commitments which led to her exit. As a result of it, Fatima Sana Shaikh is expected to have come on board. Sources close to the development said, “Dates were a major conflict and that is the reason why Anurag Basu had to look out for different option for the lead. And lucky for him, he had already spoken to Fatima in the past. So, when dates did become an issue, it was an easy fix for him this time around.”
The untitled film, however, is expected to follow a completely different plotline compared to Life In A Metro. But this film too is said to have an extensive cast with actors like Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Isshan Khattar in prominent roles. The yet to be titled film is supposed to go on floor by the end of the year.
Coming to Fatima Sana Shaikh, the actress, who returned to the big screen with the popular role in Dangal, will next be seen in Thugs Of Hindostan. As for Taapsee Pannu, the actress is expected to feature next in Womaniya which will have her playing the role of a professional shooter.

WOAH! Rakhi Sawant claims Tanushree Dutta was HIGH ON DRUGS and hence could not shoot Horn Ok Pleassss song with Nana Patekar
Controversy’s favourite child Rakhi Sawant has always found a way to stay in the limelight. Be it her social media posts, her controversial opinions or more recently her proclamation of love for Mike Tyson, Rakhi certainly knows how to grab attention. Today, Rakhi held a press conference to talk about the Tanushree Dutta harassment episode that has rocked Bollywood. Being the one who replaced Dutta in the song sequence in Horn Ok Pleasss, Rakhi spilled the beans on what exactly transpire. Shockingly, in her revelatory press conference, Rakhi alleged that Dutta was on location of the shoot, but had passed out in her vanity van after getting high on drugs!
Revealing details about that day, Rakhi unleashed a salvo saying, “Let that #MeToo movement go to the dogs, I did not want to be a part of this, but you media people have badgered me into hosting this press meet. As far as me replacing me Tanushree Dutta in the song ‘Nathani Utaro’, I was at home one evening when Ganesh Acharya called me asking me to come to the sets. After that even Nana Patekar called me and requested me to come and shoot for the song. At that time I did not know what had happened. Yet I went to the sets and when I got there I see this huge crowd near a vanity van and media people were there too. That’s when I asked what had happened, and Ganesh told me she was (Tanushree) was part of this song, and that she had already shot for a bit, but for the past four to five hours Tanushree had locked herself in the van and was unresponsive. Now I know Tanushree and her hair dresser as well, so I called her thinking she will at least answer my call, then I asked her makeup and hair team what was happening, and they said that, Tanushree was unconscious for the past three to four hours. I was surprised to learn that, she was high on drugs and had fainted.”
Going on to talk about why she did the song, despite Tanushree Dutta being part of it Rakhi continued, “That day Ganesh Acharya and Nana Patekar told me, ‘Rakhi don’t bother about all that is happening, do not pay attention to this controversy, all you need to do is shoot the song.’ That’s when I looked at the elaborate set that was put up and realized the amount of money that the producer had invested. Now I am a part of CINTAA too, so I was a bit apprehensive about taking up work that was for someone else. But what could I do, the producer was in tears, on the verge of committing suicide because of the loss, the director and the choreographer were at a loss. Looking at all this, I decided to go with what Ganesh and Nana asked me to do and shot for the song.”
Ending her narration of the story, Rakhi concluded, “After that episode, Tanushree tried to sue me, she sent me a notice through CINTAA, but the producer and director of the film went and told the CINTAA members that Rakhi had in fact stepped in to save them, and their investments. So the entire case was dropped.”

Sunny Leone is all set to groove in Bengaluru
We all are aware of the outrage that ensued in Karnataka last year owing to the New Year bash that was to be held in Bengaluru. The bash was supposed to see Sunny Leone performing but was cancelled later, after sect groups took objection and it was followed by protests. This time around too, while furore was indeed on its way when the actress was invited to perform, the organizers seem to have retained their stand and the performance is indeed happening next month.
Not surprisingly, when Sunny Leone was invited to perform for an event in November, it did invoke quite a bit of uproar yet again. The organizers decided to take the help of the cops who have now said to have given a green signal for them to go ahead with the performance. It will be held at Manyata Tech Park in the city on November 3.
However, the go ahead from the police has come up after they asked the organizers to take some precautions. The show earlier faced the brunt because certain right wing groups were of the opinion that Sunny should not be allowed to perform. It is a known fact that the actress was earlier a porn star and hence owing to the same, many of these sect groups believe that having her symbolizes vulgarity.
Prior to this too, Sunny Leone has faced the wrath due to the same reason as many Karnataka groups were angry with her performance being organized. This time around, the police have asked the organizers to ban liquor at the venue for the show. Considering this, it seems that Sunny will finally get to perform in the Karnataka capital after much hoopla.
On the other hand, Sunny Leone is all set to make her full-fledged South debut. Featuring in a multilingual period drama as a warrior princess in Veeramadevi, the poster of the film was released a few months ago. Also, the actress is shooting for her ambitious web series Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone. The shoot for the second season has kicked off.

Rishi Kapoor takes a sabbatical from films; heading to US for medical treatment
Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has given us countless hours of entertainment with different roles he has played on the big screen. Apart from films, Kapoor has also been a fixture on the social networking site Twitter. Taking to the micro blogging platform earlier today, Kapoor announced that he would be taking a sabbatical of sorts from films for medical reasons.
Posting details about the same, Rishi Kapoor took to Twitter saying, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years “plus” of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon!” Though it is currently unclear what exactly the treatment is for, we at Bollywood Hungama wish the veteran actor a speedy recovery.
Back on the film front, Rishi was last seen in the film Mulk. The film earned the actor plenty of rave reviews for his performance.

Nana Patekar to play RAW chief in this TV series
Nana Patekar, who is caught in the midst of the controversial allegations of sexual harassment directed towards him by Tanushree Dutta, is continuing with his work commitments. He has currently taken off to Rajasthan to complete the shoot of Housefull 4. Now recent reports have it that the veteran actor has bagged another coveted project and it is TV series to be produced by Firoz Nadiadwala. The Ab Tak Chappan actor will be seen in the role of a RAW agent in this show.
Furthermore, Nana Patekar is expected to play a role inspired by real life. He will be seen in the character of Rameshwarnath Kao who is India’s first RAW chief. He served as the Chief for almost two decades from 1969 to 1977 and was also the personal chief security for our Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He also held the position of secretary [Research] in the Cabinent Secretariat of the Government of India and since then all the RAW chiefs hold the same position.
The associate producer of the show, Arjun Kumar spoke about the show in recent reports wherein he stated that while making films on a large canvas has been the usual practice, they wanted to do the same with TV shows too. This one is expected to revolve around liberating East Pakistan to form Bangladesh. He appreciated the efforts taken by RAW to protect the country and keep people residing there safe.
He also believes that Nana Patekar is the right choice for the historical show. He added that Nana also does a lot of good work quietly just like RAW does for the safety of the country. While the details of the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed, the shooting is expected to commence from this year onwards. Reports have it that the show will go on floor in November.

Rani Mukerji’s much-loved film Hichki will release in Hong Kong on November 8 ! The film has been titled 我的破嗝Miss (My Extraordinary Teacher) for its Hong Kong release. Rani’s performance as Naina Mathur, a school teacher dealing with an involuntary nervous system disorder, Tourette Syndrome, has been widely lauded by audiences and critics alike across the world. Her brilliant performance has seen her sweep awards and accolades this year.

Shot on a grandeur scale, Kayamkulam Kochunni is known to be made on the budget of Rs. 45 crore making it one of most expensive ventures in the Malayalam cinema. The film has been shot some inner parts of Southern India and Sri Lanka thereby keeping the location realistic and authentic in nature. It is also known that post production of the film has also worked upon greatly and film's color grading is done by one of the well-known studios in Bollywood. The trailer of this much highly-anticipated Malayalam venture was release a month ago and has got great response.
Talking about his role, Nivin said, "I can't reveal much about my character except that I am playing a role of a jobless person, who supposedly is the running the family business. He is a bit trouble maker and the film is proper entertainer, a rom-com. It is also one of my first ever period film I have ever been associated with. "
Nivin Pauly had a great start to the year with him winning many awards for Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela that released last year. He had not only played the leading man in the film but he was also the producer of the film. Starring Aishwarya Lekshmi, Ahaana Krishna, Lal, Shanthi Krishna amongst others, Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela was a family drama directed by Althaf Salim and he had written the film along with George Kora.

This incident happened on the sets of the 2005 film, Chocolate: Deep Dark Secrets. The actress revealed to a leading daily that Vivek Agnihotri wanted her to give cues to Irrfan Khan. Reportedly, it was not even her shot and was Irrfan's up close shot. So, he just had to look at something and give expressions. She revealed that the director told her to strip and dance and give the actor (Irrfan Khan) cues.
Tanushree further revealed that Suniel Shetty and Irrfan Khan who were on sets were the only ones who backed her. She revealed that Irrfan told the director he doesn't need Tanushree to take off her coat and dance for him to give expressions. Suniel Shetty also reportedly scolded the director for passing lewd comments.
In press conference, Tanushree Dutta openly called out the film industry for working with people like Nana Patekar. After her interviewing with channel went viral, Tanushree Dutta held a press conference on September 27 to talk about Nana Patekar and her story. “I was harassed and attacked by the MNS (Maharashtra Navnirman Sena) party. And all this was done in tandem with Nana Patekar, Ganesh Acharya, producer, and director Rakesh Sarang. These guys were involved in making me go through this hell. Even today, nobody has condemned their actions from the film industry. And many big stars like Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth and Shahid Kapoor, these people continue to work with Ganesh Acharya and Nana Patekar,” she addressed the media.

“Hera Pheri 3 was announced based on a one-line idea that was narrated to the entire cast. While Akshay Kumar had given a go ahead to the film, he was very clear on the fact that he would allot his date only after a bound script is in place. He is in no hurry to start shooting for the film mainly because he knows the expectation that audience have from the film and he doesn’t want to release the film just to bank on the brand name. “Firoz Nadiadwala is an independent producer who usually bank rolls a project based on crowd funding. As the shooting of Hera Pheri 3 came to halt with Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham in lead, the producer landed in a cash crunch. After he convinced Akshay Kumar to come on board, the investors have regained their interest on the project and have agreed to fund the same however nothing apart from star-cast has been locked as of now,” added the source
Talking about the probable shooting schedule and pre-production of the film, the source said, “Director Indra Kumar is currently busy with the post production of Total Dhamaal and he would shift his focus to Hera Pheri 3 from January 2019. He will sit with the creative team of the film and indulge in the brain storming sessions to develop the screenplay. The earliest that the film can go on floors is the last quarter of 2019 and release in the second half of 2020 provided that the team is able to lock an interesting script.”
Akshay Kumar’s upcoming projects include 2.0, Kesari, Good News and Housefull 4. The actor is reportedly also in talks with YRF; however we have not heard anything from either of the sides as of now. While a few fans might be disappointed given the fact that Hera Pheri 3 has been postponed, we believe that this is good news as Akshay Kumar and team don’t want to serve the audience with a substandard product. On the flip side, Farah Khan was also trolled by netizens for sharing this image since it came during the time when Tanushree Dutta had alleged about Nana Patekar’s behaviour publicly. While they were also presented with the option of nominating someone from the jodis, Bigg Boss left the complete choice of wanting to nominate them or no on singles! However, there were strict orders that jail inmates will not be nominated for captaincy.
This instruction eventually led to once again teams having to choose between Karanvir Bohra and Nehha Pendse. The teams were asked to choose the captaincy in the unique style of cricket with Sreesanth as the bowler. While Karanvir and Nehha tried to convince co-contestants of choosing them for captaincy, eventually emerging victorious was Nehha.
Amidst all these, another argument that kicked off was of Deepak – Urvashi with Khan sisters. Deepak Thakur who was sleeping during an untimely hour was woken up by Bigg Boss in haste and in the process he ended up pulling the scarf of Saba. This further led to an argument between Somi who clearly didn’t mince words while showcasing her dislike towards Deepak’s actions. While Deepak apologized to the Khan sisters, the arguments only boiled further. Urvashi intervened and tried to calm Deepak down but this led to another unexpected twist – a rift between her and her house inmate partner Deepak.

Suniel Shetty’s son, Ahaan Shetty will make his debut with the remake. Nadiadwala has roped in Milan Luthria to direct the film.”
Coming to the original, the film starred Karthikeya Gummakonda and Payal Rajput. The film is an action romantic drama with a bold storyline. As romance starts brewing between the couple, they get separated due to a twist resulting in Payal aka Indu getting married to someone else. In his wait for the return of the ladylove, Karthikeya aka Shiva continues to be a gunda leading a life in his aggressive ways. But when she returns, he is in to face a shocking truth!

To be more specific, Vishal Bhardwaj is joining hands with the renowned streaming site Netflix for his next. The filmmaker is all set to direct a new web series based on the story of Midnight’s Children by Salman Rushdie. A source confirms the same adding, “Vishal Bhardwaj will be directing a web series for Netflix India. The show will continue in his tradition of adapting books for the screen. And this time, it will be based on Salman Rushdie’s Midnight’s Children.”
While this will be Vishal’s first book adaptation for the digital world, the filmmaker has made the Shakespearean trilogy in the past by making the Hindi versions of Macbeth, Hamlet and Othello in the form of Maqbool, Haider and Omkara. The stories were then set in the heartland of India, bringing forth the rustic flavour of small towns and rural areas. On the other hand, details of his new web series are currently kept under wraps. An official announcement on these details is yet to be made.

Sources close to the film have claimed that the production house has purchased all rights related to the film from Boxwala's Friday Cine Entertaiment. The source said, “Dharma Productions Private Limited is in the process of acquiring all intellectual property rights including copyright, any and all rights, title and interest in the film Shershah.” However, there is no official announcement on the same as yet.
Written by Sandeep Shrivastava, the film is said to be directed by Vishnu Vardhan. The makers had announced about the film, few months earlier on social media. The Vikram Batra biopic is also expected to feature Kiara Advani as the martyred officer’s former girlfriend.

If further reports are to be believed, this Karan Johar production is expected to feature Sidharth Malhotra in double role. The actor is expected to essay the twin brothers, Vikram and Vishal. Interestingly, if true, this will be the first time that Sidharth will be playing a double role in a film.
Besides Vikram Batra biopic, Sidharth Malhotra is busy working on films like Jabariya Jodi which stars him opposite Parineeti Chopra.

The reason of replacement is said to be due to date issues. Apparently, Taapsee Pannu was facing date issues with her other work commitments which led to her exit. As a result of it, Fatima Sana Shaikh is expected to have come on board. Sources close to the development said, “Dates were a major conflict and that is the reason why Anurag Basu had to look out for different option for the lead. And lucky for him, he had already spoken to Fatima in the past. So, when dates did become an issue, it was an easy fix for him this time around.”
The untitled film, however, is expected to follow a completely different plotline compared to Life In A Metro. But this film too is said to have an extensive cast with actors like Saif Ali Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Sonakshi Sinha, Isshan Khattar in prominent roles. The yet to be titled film is supposed to go on floor by the end of the year.
Coming to Fatima Sana Shaikh, the actress, who returned to the big screen with the popular role in Dangal, will next be seen in Thugs Of Hindostan. As for Taapsee Pannu, the actress is expected to feature next in Womaniya which will have her playing the role of a professional shooter.

Revealing details about that day, Rakhi unleashed a salvo saying, “Let that #MeToo movement go to the dogs, I did not want to be a part of this, but you media people have badgered me into hosting this press meet. As far as me replacing me Tanushree Dutta in the song ‘Nathani Utaro’, I was at home one evening when Ganesh Acharya called me asking me to come to the sets. After that even Nana Patekar called me and requested me to come and shoot for the song. At that time I did not know what had happened. Yet I went to the sets and when I got there I see this huge crowd near a vanity van and media people were there too. That’s when I asked what had happened, and Ganesh told me she was (Tanushree) was part of this song, and that she had already shot for a bit, but for the past four to five hours Tanushree had locked herself in the van and was unresponsive. Now I know Tanushree and her hair dresser as well, so I called her thinking she will at least answer my call, then I asked her makeup and hair team what was happening, and they said that, Tanushree was unconscious for the past three to four hours. I was surprised to learn that, she was high on drugs and had fainted.”
Going on to talk about why she did the song, despite Tanushree Dutta being part of it Rakhi continued, “That day Ganesh Acharya and Nana Patekar told me, ‘Rakhi don’t bother about all that is happening, do not pay attention to this controversy, all you need to do is shoot the song.’ That’s when I looked at the elaborate set that was put up and realized the amount of money that the producer had invested. Now I am a part of CINTAA too, so I was a bit apprehensive about taking up work that was for someone else. But what could I do, the producer was in tears, on the verge of committing suicide because of the loss, the director and the choreographer were at a loss. Looking at all this, I decided to go with what Ganesh and Nana asked me to do and shot for the song.”
Ending her narration of the story, Rakhi concluded, “After that episode, Tanushree tried to sue me, she sent me a notice through CINTAA, but the producer and director of the film went and told the CINTAA members that Rakhi had in fact stepped in to save them, and their investments. So the entire case was dropped.”

Not surprisingly, when Sunny Leone was invited to perform for an event in November, it did invoke quite a bit of uproar yet again. The organizers decided to take the help of the cops who have now said to have given a green signal for them to go ahead with the performance. It will be held at Manyata Tech Park in the city on November 3.
However, the go ahead from the police has come up after they asked the organizers to take some precautions. The show earlier faced the brunt because certain right wing groups were of the opinion that Sunny should not be allowed to perform. It is a known fact that the actress was earlier a porn star and hence owing to the same, many of these sect groups believe that having her symbolizes vulgarity.
Prior to this too, Sunny Leone has faced the wrath due to the same reason as many Karnataka groups were angry with her performance being organized. This time around, the police have asked the organizers to ban liquor at the venue for the show. Considering this, it seems that Sunny will finally get to perform in the Karnataka capital after much hoopla.
On the other hand, Sunny Leone is all set to make her full-fledged South debut. Featuring in a multilingual period drama as a warrior princess in Veeramadevi, the poster of the film was released a few months ago. Also, the actress is shooting for her ambitious web series Karenjit Kaur – The Untold Story of Sunny Leone. The shoot for the second season has kicked off.

Furthermore, Nana Patekar is expected to play a role inspired by real life. He will be seen in the character of Rameshwarnath Kao who is India’s first RAW chief. He served as the Chief for almost two decades from 1969 to 1977 and was also the personal chief security for our Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. He also held the position of secretary [Research] in the Cabinent Secretariat of the Government of India and since then all the RAW chiefs hold the same position.
The associate producer of the show, Arjun Kumar spoke about the show in recent reports wherein he stated that while making films on a large canvas has been the usual practice, they wanted to do the same with TV shows too. This one is expected to revolve around liberating East Pakistan to form Bangladesh. He appreciated the efforts taken by RAW to protect the country and keep people residing there safe.
He also believes that Nana Patekar is the right choice for the historical show. He added that Nana also does a lot of good work quietly just like RAW does for the safety of the country. While the details of the rest of the cast are yet to be revealed, the shooting is expected to commence from this year onwards. Reports have it that the show will go on floor in November.
