Fardeen Khan can now finally heave a sigh of relief, as today the Mumbai Sessions Court granted immunity to him from prosecution in the long pending 2001 drug case. The actor will no longer be tried in the drug case.
He has been granted immunity in the case on the condition that he will undergo a detoxification process, which he has already completed. However, if he is arrested for a similar offence in the future, then the immunity against him shall be withdrawn.
Outside the court, a visibly relieved Khan told the media, "I am extremely grateful to the judge for accepting my application."
